Sustainable Sourcing Manager, Norfolk – VACANCY FILLED

We are recruiting for a Sustainable Sourcing Manager in Norfolk. A permanent, full time role with a salary of £60,000 per annum.

My client is looking to recruit a Sustainable Sourcing Manager to ensure that they continue with managing the ethical performance of all their suppliers. The role is with a fast-expanding food manufacturing business who is currently on an exciting growth journey. Reporting to the Technical Director you will be tasked with their global supplier auditing to ensure that their ethical standards are maintained.

Key responsibilities include:

Supplier Management

  • Directly managing ethical performance of over 15 strategic suppliers and assessing ethical trade strategy capabilities at site level and across global supply chains.
  • Management of all supplier approvals to meet site & customer policy.
  • Management of supply-chain mapping & risk assessment (incl. VACCP & TACCP)
  • Supply chain auditing – both physical audits and remote.
  • Building & maintaining relationships within country experts and suppliers to facilitate a continuous improvement approach to supplier management.
  • Maintaining & facilitating communication with customers, suppliers, and industry contacts to support compliance with customer and industry standards and best practise for technical supplier approval.

Sustainability

  • Work with supply chains to ensure sustainability criteria accreditations are maintained.
  • As appropriate, work with supply chains on progressing sustainability / environmental standards and initiatives.
  • As appropriate work with in-country experts & supply chains on additional schemes to enhance environmental sustainability.
  • Maintaining & facilitating communication with customers, suppliers, and industry contacts to support compliance with customer sustainability expectations and requirements.
  • Working with key stakeholders to ensure supplier engagement / compliance on ethical audit status.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a proven track record in technical food industry standards.

In addition, you are likely to have a qualification in food hygiene and/ or HACCPL3.

You will be able to demonstrate internal auditing skills and understand High Care and BRC requirements.

The role can be based remotely but will require extensive global travel.

You will have excellent communication skills and an aptitude to understand and relate to different cultures.

In addition, you will be self-motivated and can problem solve and influence at all levels within an organisation.
