Supply Chain Manager, Norfolk: VACANCY FILLED

We are recruiting for a Supply Chain Manager in Norfolk. A permanent, full time role with a salary of £40-45,000 per annum.

My client a leading food manufacturer in their field is looking to recruit a Supply Chain Manager due to ongoing growth within the company. In conjunction with several key stakeholders, you will be responsible for delivering high quality and cost-efficient supply chain processes for production and operations.

This is a hands-on role and is pivotal in the overall success of the business with the goal of creating exceptional customer service.

Reporting to the Commercial Director your key responsibilities will include: –

Supplier Management

  • Responsible for the overall strategy and execution of supply chain management function of the business.
  • You will work collaboratively with the planning department, the Customer Service Team and the Warehouse and Logistics team, managing the supply process from order reconciliation to customer delivery.
  • Assist logistics processes for the development of new products, inventory maintenance, manufacturing, shipment, and delivery, and returns on products.
  • Manage finished product at our external warehouses, managing transfers to these warehouses. Maximising stock control and reduction in customer shortages. and order reconciliation to customer delivery.
  • Collaborate and build relationships with external parties, such as suppliers or distributors to ensure efficiency is optimised and maximise on time delivery.
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities to streamline process and improve accuracy and efficiency within operations.
  • Develop effective communication and processes with the transportation and logistics vendors.
  • Together with the IT and Systems Manager, and using the existing ERP system, you will analyse supply chain data and performance and look to maximise efficiencies.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing a supply chain function, preferably within a chilled food or short shelf-life environment.

You will be able to demonstrate strong business and technical skills across all areas for supply and a good working knowledge of ERP systems.

In addition, you will have a proven ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and exceptional attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
