Production Manager, Ipswich – VACANCY FILLED

We are recruiting for a Production Manager role in Ipswich. A permanent, full time role with a salary of £45,000.

This is a rare opportunity for a Production Manager to join a business that although is small it is on a path of significant growth with exciting plans. As a leader in its field, they have already experienced substantial growth over the last few years. They now require a Production / Project Manager to manage people, factory, and processes. Reporting to the Managing Director you will be accountable for the whole production process through to installation at client sites.

The role must deliver customer requirements on time in full on a routine basis. Each product is bespoke to the client so this will involve excellent planning skills and the daily coordination of people and work processes to produce this in the most cost-effective manner for the business. This will include:

  • Ensuring that the customer demand and order fulfilment plan is forecast, known, and fully planned.
  • Ensuring that this plan is fully aligned with any upstream processes and the installation teams.

You will be able to demonstrate both a track record in successfully managing teams in a busy manufacturing facility and excellent project management skills.

You must also demonstrate clear and responsible leadership to drive the best individual and team performance from their area of responsibility. This will include:

  • Clear and visual performance management for individuals, teams, and production operations
  • Excellent people skills and a diversity of styles from coaching through to effective performance management
