Warehouse and Logistics Manager, Norfolk – VACANCY FILLED
We are recruiting for a Warehouse and Logistics Manager role in Norfolk. A permanent, full time role with a salary of £45,000 per annum.
My client is looking to recruit an experienced Warehouse and Logistics Manager who can take full responsibility for their warehousing, storage, and shipping departments.
The role is with a fast-expanding food manufacturing business who is currently on an exciting growth journey.
Reporting to the Operations Director you will be tasked with maintaining inventory and stock rotation while managing order fulfilment process and liaising with third party contractors and outside storage locations.
Other responsibilities include: –
- Ensuring that all company H&S and Food Hygiene policies and procedures are always adhered to.
- Managing the teams so that there is adequate cover for all areas at the times required by business operations to fulfil customer orders and supply production.
- Managing the cold store picking and distribution of product to prevent delays to production operations.
- Working with the purchasing and planning team to ensure incoming goods are planned and put away in a timely manner.
- Working with purchasing to manage 3rd party storage locations to, effectively and efficiently manage on-site stock, while minimizing spend of 3rd party storage.
- Liaising with external partners to optimise the loading and unloading of trucks to both ensure customer orders are fulfilled and to manage the workload within warehouse operations.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of managing and developing teams in a busy environment and use to working to tight deadlines.
Although food manufacturing experience would be advantageous it is not essential. You will however have excellent written and communication skills, good time management and the tenacity and desire to complete projects.
