Financial Controller, Bury St Edmunds – VACANCY FILLED

We are recruiting for a Financial Controller in Bury St Edmunds. A permanent, full time role with a salary of £65,000 per annum.

I am excited to be working with this client to recruit a Financial Controller to head up their finance team.

The role is with a business who is seeing significant growth in their sector and has big plans.

They see this position as a key role within their business and their will be lots of scope for you to further develop in the role.

Reporting to the Group Managing Director you will support them in driving the business forward as well as the day-to-day responsibilities of the finance function.

The position will require you to be quite hands on initially and you must be able to demonstrate a meticulous attention to detail.

Day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Producing management accounts, budgets, and cash flows
  • Producing Group Profit and Loss accounts
  • Producing end of year statutory accounts
  • Liaising with auditors
  • Liaising and developing strong relationships with management team and all staff members

On-going projects could also include:

  • Business process improvement including IT, Finance and Operations
  • Stock Management
  • Acquisitions
  • Opening new offices

You will be ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified/Part-Qualified (or equivalent) or by experience including post qualification experience in industry.

To achieve success in this position, you will be sympathetic to the history of the business, at the same time bringing vitality and dynamism to the role. In addition, it is essential that you have excellent excel skills and have effective communication and influencing skills.
